Update:
- Printable pink slip postcards available! Desktop print versions are here. Commercial (FedEx Office) print versions here (DIY text) and here (readymade text).
- BLACK AND WHITE printable pink slip postcards (for printing on colored paper): DIY Text: here Readymade text: here
- Instructions on how to print postcards here.
- If you can’t figure out how to print, let me know via the comments below, and I will send you some. Last day to request is Thursday 3/9.
- Finally, I find myself questioning how constructive the ‘pink slip’ postcards are. I’ve done some custom “constructive criticism” postcards here. You may even want to send one of the other subject matter specific cards I’ve made in order to underline your issue. See a gallery here, and more here.
Background on #IdesofTrump.
Someone had the brilliant idea that everyone in the resistance should send DJT a postcard that will arrive March 15, expressing their dissatisfaction with his policies. The vision is to essentially bury the White House in paper. Not exactly a zero waste concept– but at least postcards have a lower carbon footprint than a letter. At this point, I’m willing to suspend my Zero Waste beliefs for our broader political gain.
As readers will know, I’ve created a bunch of issue-based postcards and some detailed instructions on how to print them. I would be happy to create more easy printables. I’m loving the ‘pink slip’ concept I found on Twitter. Please see this post for printable versions of these cards.
Remember to send the postcards, too!
President (for now) Donald J. Trump
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500
And you might want to get out there and buy yourself some postcards stamps to share with your friends, because I’m guessing USPS is going to run out.

I did send a postcard to president Bannon at the White House… with return address at Trump Tower in case it’s not accepted

Do you know if the post cars MUST have a return address on them? I am hearing they are thrown away without it.
March 9, 2017 at 9:30 am
I wasn’t aware of this. I’ll look into it.

Thank you. I don’t want to go through the whole time & expense if they will just be pitched.. I heard about it here. Look at the VERY LAST LINE on this page. http://itstimetofight.weebly.com/call-list-for-wednesday-38.html

After doing a little research on this, I don’t see clear guidelines anywhere. On the whitehouse.gov website, they request that people provide a return address (and an email address!), but there’s nothing that says they will disregard postcards without that information. I would encourage everyone to make their own determination as to whether they’d like to include this information on their postcard or not.

Postcards preferred to letters: They routinely check the envelopes for anthrax or something.

To maximize the amount of mail delivered on one day at the White House. the date you mail should be a function of your zip code: in California, mail on March 10 or 11; in Washington DC mail on March 14; etc. Can someone prepare such a table of zip codes?
February 14, 2017 at 7:36 pm
Great point. I can take a stab at making this table.

Since the Donald is so thin skinned about photos, artwork, etc. that are unflattering to him…I’m going to find all that I can and make my own postcards on my printer…on the reverse side I’ll leave my message. To those wanting to make your own, the minimum postcard size is 3.5 inches by 5 inches. The maximum postcard size is 4.25 inches by 6 inches. The USPS also requires the postcard be between 0.007 inch and 0.016 inch thick. I’m going to use photo paper that is 10.3 mil or 0.010 inch thick, getting 4 cards for each 8-1/2 by 11 sheet.
